Website Informational Screencasts

The Web Team is in the process of making a series of screencasts, to help the CEU community better understand the website, and how to accomplish certain tasks. The first of these, giving a general introduction to the new website, is shown below -- future ones will also appear on this page, and be announced.

Add or Edit your Academic Profile

Having logged in on the wrong website will result in users inability to create the content. Make sure you login and create your content in a proper location!

In order to login a user should use Novell ID and password (also known as LDAP password what is different from groupwise/mailbox account). These credentials are used when user logins to the CEU Novel network (any computer at CEU, not mailbox). In case you do not remember your login credentials please contact IT department (helprequest@ceu.hu or by extention 2000) to clarify your login details. The Webteam does not have authoritiy over the Novell network and user passwords.

Based on login credentials each user posesses his own website rights giving him possibility to add, edit or delete content within domain selected (see above). If user is a new member of CEU community (staff, faculty, PhD Student) he received default limited rights on the website activities. To get the appropriate rights he should as the first compulsory step login into a proper domain. Then, after he loged in and his account has been generated, he can contact Webteam asking for rights he is entitled and providing proof for his eligibility for such rights.

MA students do not have rights to create any content at the CEU website. After their login into the CEU website they became active users and can get access to the restricted areas of the website for review purposes.
